Pakistan’s Flag Projected At Swiss Alps

With the increasing number of cases of coronavirus in Pakistan on daily basis, Matterhorn in the Swiss Alps, Switzerland  were lit up with Pakistan’s flag to express solidarity and support during this outbreak. 

More then 12,700 cases have been confirmed in Pakistan. The hospitals and medical staff is are working days and night against this battle and helping patients to recover.

Amid pandemic, the popular mountain is lit up with images projected of different flags of different counties who have been hit hard by this deadly disease.

Swiss Alps

On April 25th, Switzerland’s Matterhorn displayed Pakistan’s flag and the image was shared on Twitter.

This effort is made to show solidarity and unity for the people of Pakistan and wish them strength.

According to the news official, Artist Gerry Hofstetter took this initiative last month and first projected the illumination of the Swiss flag on the mountain. 

The other counties flags which were projected include Canada, Nepal, Russia and the USA. Moreover, to uplift the morals of the people words like ‘solidarity’, ‘hope’, and ‘stay home’ were also displayed on the Swiss Alps.
