Etihad Airways Dismisses Staff Due To COVID-19

The deadly outbreak is taking everyone with a sweep. Recently Etihad Airways dismisses a large number of employees because of the pandemic as trace ban has been imposed across the world and airlines are suffering.

Travelling demand have been drowned due to the coronavirus and the airline warns that more staff might be laid off due to these uncertain situations.

Exact number of employee laid off have not been yet disclosed by Etihad Airways but many of them affected. Moreover the department is not also disclosed in which those employees were working. 50% of the salaries are being temporarily reduced as the passenger flights have been grounded.

It is announced that the airlines might resume its operations and flights from mid june 2020.

Previously the airline has more than 20,000 staff but now they are letting go of their employees due to the travel ban as it has diminished the business in many ways.

The coronavirus pandemic caused more than 287,354 deaths, with 4,256,540 confirmed cases in 212 different countries and territories.

Emirates, a Dubai based airline recorded a profit of 21 percent rise in full-year profit on Sunday but now the pandemic has affected their performance in the forth quarter. No lay off’s announced by the Emirates is announced that they will be operate in limited passenger flights with selected destinations including UAE, Lonfonnand Frankfurt. 

Public transportation is considered as a high risk globally as it is the biggest reason of the outbreak spread.
